AstroUnify has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!
AstroUnify, is a social platform for anybody no matter who they are, what their age is or where they are from, to learn about space is a simple and interactive way with others.
As soon as the user opens the application, the user is greeted with an interactive space where the user can learn about certain topics related to space exploration. (In demonstration of our app we showcased all planets of our solar system, but if had time would of continued with the moons and other space objects and phenomena and technology we are using). After the user has learnt enough about space in summarized but comprehensive fashion, the user will be able to create a profile. After the profile has been created the user will be able to join a public forum of discussion on the topic of space and space exploration where the user will be able to share its thoughts and discuss with others.
The goal of this application is to allow anybody who uses it, to feel like this app is exactly what the user was looking for, in order to start the adventure of learning about space and space exploration along side other people no matter their race, nationality, age because the app will unite all with one common goal t learn and continue exploring the wonderful and mysterious topic about space.
The team only consists of me, and that is really the reason that inspired me to chose this topic. In the country I live in, there are many people that try to learn things about space but when try to fit into some existing live forum or social platform, they feel that they do not fit due to many people who live in more advanced countries have the tools to learn what they didn't. That is why I was inspired to create an application where no matter your knowledge race or place of living you will be able to share topics on a similar theme.
I have used the language Dart with flutter to make sure that the app runs on IOS and android.
I have faced a huge challenge with time. As I have had a busy week but tried to allocate as much time as the app has required for research and development of the interface.
I have used the the data provided to explore further ideas on why this inequality may have been an issue, and tried to maximize the interface and ui of the app to be fitting for anybody. I have also done some research through the provided data, about interesting topics that I was hoping to include within the demo, but unfortunately could not due to the time limit.
