Summary
Our challenge is better together, it aims for making a tool to solve the racism problem. The team’s idea is to create a website to help people who suffer from racism. The website consists of our work section which is divided to two parts: first part contains examples about some racist situations that happened and soon the website will contain the comment feature to know people’s opinions. Second part is to educate kids about racism by some videos and small quotes. The second one is the racism section that contains some types of racism. Other sections are home page, support us section encouraging people to fight racism and contact us section to make people feel free to tell their stories.
How We Addressed This Challenge
After researching, the last solution that was found is a mobile application that was made to make people more aware by this global problem, make events and programs which all aims to increase people awareness, and also there is an application for same organization.
When we searched for what made them inspired to these ideas, we found that some of the people who made the website experienced these racism situations, which was a motive for them to make the website.
We made this website as a primary tool but we will improve it after that and make an application that will be in most countries, so we will make a partnership with a great institution that defends racism and ask it to make an advertisement for our application to make it known to all people, so it will benefit most people from all respects as it will benefit us in gaining money and success our application, benefit the institution as it making marketing for its products and also benefits the customers in raising their awareness and changes their thoughts to something useful and helps to stop racism. So, then it will be one of the biggest known application that will know for its defending for racism.
How We Developed This Project
There was a deep research done to in-depth understand the racism and it’s different many types that a human can face from a racist, establish how it’s done and how humans respond to it considering the way it differs from a positive reaction helping to stop racism and a poor negative reaction that really does cause many deep bad feelings and bigger psychological reflects. The data that was collected was a primary data that was collected by us from different people publishing their experience with racism, how they dealt with it, how they felt and how they advise any one to act if he is experiencing the same situation. On purpose samples were picked from different countries and different ages to have as much diversity on the website. Small number of samples were added due to the website’s beginning but the website will provide sooner the ability to add up your story too whether prefer being anonymous or having the desire to announce yourself so that people support you. There was a kind of difficulty in being sure of the samples’ experiences told and that’s why samples were chosen to be picked directly from the tellers.
Soon there will be a contact with expert psychologists and deep research to add the part (What’s the best reaction humans should take in these different racism situations).
First of all, due to the deep research done to establish our aim we have gained so much information about our topic. Secondly, What best relaxes most people is that they find commons between them and others and that what happens when a man finds the same or even a close story of his and learn from the teller how he can react or gets enlightened from people’s comments or even advice both of them of a better action they can take to leave a stronger effect on ending racism and yes because racism stops by ME and YOU. Thirdly, Most of people refuses going to counselors or telling their story instead of that they become ashamed of and by using this website he is indirectly being in touch with not just a counselor, psychologist or a friend but all of them all over the world. Fourthly, this website helps to change the meaning of racism, as it focuses on making people understand it’s not just an action but a pandemic that they really can end it if they wanted.
These Steps were all done aiming to provide all the support to people experiencing racism, to stop racists and TURN THE RACISM OFF.
How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project
We had more knowledge about some racist situations, as George Floyd accident and how it changed people’s reactions for racism knowing that it is the real pandemic.
