Power Box has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!
We propose to use the technology of solar panels to reach remote places where some humans live and don't have electricity access. It's important because with this technology, those people are going to be able to reach news, job proposes, educational resources and also to do a cultural exchange. The Power Box is an equipment made up of photovoltaic plates and a telecommunication system that converts solar energy into electricity capable of feeding equipments in general, such as computers, TVs, lamps, among others. Then it provides access to the internet through the use of radio frequency antennas capable of communicating with satellites and telecommunications antennas - then connecting remote communities and leading to those connections that did not previously exist and opening up opportunities for new knowledge and developments. We hope to achieve those people who don't have even electric power and afterwards internet connection, bringing and integrating human knowledge to everyone, even in places with difficult access by breaking social barriers, generating educational ecosystems, where health, information and all human knowledge are distributed in a more homogeneous way, and reducing prejudices created by the very lack of these same conditions and possibilities in those locations.
The wish of helping people someway was a common thing in our team, so we chose those challenge because we realized that before we can develop any software to somehow include people that are marginalized in the society in their daily life, we should provide them the access of the primary thing that someone must have before having a software, electricity and further the internet. We propose use the technology of solar panels to reach remote places, bringing information to these people. Our main problem was that our former team didn't answer in the last day of the Hackathon, so we kept going only the three of us. Our Achievement is already participate and being able to send our project to be read, and we expect that it is in a clear and concise way. We also are already happy with all the knowledge that we have acquired
We use the data to understand better the inequality, generated due to people living in the peripheries, also taking care to link that situation with the skin color tone and prejudice and inequality testimonials and data.
