Our project is an adventurous videogame that is aimed at raising awareness about the consequences of racism and inequality among people. We have developed an interesting story that could influence on young children and youngsters
Like Emmanuel Acho, a black man, said "I fervently believe that if the white person is your problem only the white person can be your solution”. So, solving such a problem doesn’t require violence, however, it needs education. People must be educated when they‘re young whether by a direct or an indirect way. And this the strategy we used in order to come up with the idea. Educating children through an adventurous exciting video-game.
What makes the project crucial is that it really define a suitable solution for affecting and raising awareness to such young people through a series of situations so that by the end of the game he/she will know that we are all same and we live in this world to complement each other.
The game is built around two main characters of relatively the same age which are Thomas and Martin. Martin is a middle-class black boy that is doing well in his study and also have to work by himself for earning his living (a boy represents forms of inequality).
In contrast, Thomas is not responsible and always bully Martin, thinking as many white people that he is better than him and his appearance. However, Martin will have to work with Thomas’s mother which is almost tired most of the time. One day Thomas’s mother was very ill and required a specific type of antidote. Martin and Thomas will be asked to go together on a long journey to bring the required antidote as Thomas's father will be forced to stay with his ill wife. So, they will start their journey passing some difficult challenges that will force them to work together seeking for solving it. Martin will also have the ability to do some specific thing that Thomas was always afraid of to do which is swimming (because of his long breathing). So, martin will make him learn and while passing the journey they will realize that there is no difference between them and so on.
They will finally reach their destination and while their return martin will dye. And then, Thomas will have to bury him and complete so as to reach his mother. And while Thomas return, he will remember everything they made together and then realize how important was martin and that he and all those people that do like him were totally wrong with "the imaginary boundaries" they put according to the color. We are all humans and we complement each other like Thomas and Martin.
Being racist or antiracist is not about who you are; it is about what you do.
Like many other people, we hope racism doesn’t exist anymore because we’re all equal no one is better than others.
Social inequality is a recurring problem throughout, not only a specific country but the world. There are all kinds of inequalities throughout the world, and without anyone to create awareness, this will induce more pandemonium. With, to terminate racial inequality, people that can bring awareness with a variety of ideas and forms need to start producing familiarity locally because it will suddenly erupt onto a more global impact.
We chose this challenge as we want to begin awareness of one of the well-known global issues we choose a specified target audience which is youngsters. We specified youngsters as we know that no one is born racist or anti-racist; these result from the situations they face. These situations require ongoing self-awareness and self-reflection as we move through life. So, we decided to make them deduce and find out about the racism stories and issues in an indirect way that appeals to them and what they love to do.
Our solution will be a video game that will revolve around a moral story that makes them learn about racism and inequality concept from another point of view. The idea of the game will affect both their way of thinking in addition to raising their awareness in a psychologically effective way.

NASA’s data had totally helped us to form a good and obvious background about the problem we are addressing, which is racism and inequality. By opening several websites and articles from NASA resources, we were able to understand more about how white people and black people think of each other, the reason behind the hatred that is between some of them, and the feeling of white people while living in such an unfair environment.
One of the most useful agency data was a YouTube video of a black person, called Emmanuel Acho, which was talking about "Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man". This gives us ideas to make and finalize our story to be closer enough to the reality. This inspired us to design and create the main characters in our game for both their appearance and personality.
