More than 20 million people in the world affected by the risk of floods

Poverty does not depend only on the economic thrust of countries, nature also contributes greatly. It is estimated that 26 million people each year fall into extreme poverty in the world due to the impact of natural disasters on the infrastructure and livelihoods of the affected population.

An analysis based on data from 117 countries estimates that average welfare losses due to floods, storms, earthquakes and tsunamis amount to $ 520 billion per year, 60 percent more than economic losses Latin America and the Caribbean.

The current climate change context is taking the contrasts in our climate to the utmost extreme. Long and severe periods of drought, as well as episodes of intense and short-term rainfall, are increasingly recurrent.

The phenomena of drought and intense rains are becoming more frequent on our planet, having a greater impact on poor and unprotected areas. Today, however, I will focus on a more global issue focused on the calculation of people in the world who are at risk of river flooding

We can conclude that the environmental factor in the population is of vital importance for our daily life. Protect, preserve and create a rational use of natural resources and biological diversity, in order to achieve a sustainable future for future generations creating a natural awareness and avoid more exploitations believing that they are infinite and renewable when many of them are not like that, we will create and we will create a green thought. The human species must be more united now for our preservation.

We need to awaken environmental awareness in order to win the battle that is so degrading our planet, our common home, and for this it is essential to educate and teach, showing what happens in the reality of events so that we can all make clear and concrete decisions , aimed at improving the quality of life of the planet and of humanity.
