Spot That Fire V3.0

Recent wildfires worldwide have demonstrated the importance of rapid wildfire detection, mitigation, and community impact assessment analysis. Your challenge is to develop and/or augment an existing application to detect, predict, and assess the economic impacts from actual or potential wildfires by leveraging high-frequency data from a new generation of geostationary satellites, data from polar-orbiting environmental satellites, and other open-source datasets.

Summary

Vision - The main moto of this project is to filter the fire incidents from the imagery data received from the MODIS. Alert the local fire department or other machines like WATER DRONES to make it off. Note- As i come to know on the 2nd day, thought i will share my idea and design. I can build the complete design prototype using Python and ML.

How I Addressed This Challenge

As i have a limited time able to develop the first module a deep learning model, the REST API, integration and other modules pending. The details i provided in the PPT attached. I tried to solve the forest fire issues across the Planet.

How I Developed This Project

I like space and satellite technologies to work on through which we can solve common problems in our Planet like forest fires. Python , PyTorch and Numpy libraries used for development.

How I Used Space Agency Data in This Project

Downloaded the CSV data from NASA MODI site
