Spot That Fire V3.0

Recent wildfires worldwide have demonstrated the importance of rapid wildfire detection, mitigation, and community impact assessment analysis. Your challenge is to develop and/or augment an existing application to detect, predict, and assess the economic impacts from actual or potential wildfires by leveraging high-frequency data from a new generation of geostationary satellites, data from polar-orbiting environmental satellites, and other open-source datasets.

NASCOZ

Summary

Nascoz: With the filter system, air is drawn every 5 seconds by making a vacuum. If it detects flammable gas or smoke in the air drawn, our panel in the central processing unit will determine the abnormal situation. It will be able to reach the number on the panel urgently in order to reach the determined point. Thus, we prevent the fire. With the renewable energy source system, the energy need of our sensor system, which we call nascoz, will be met by providing lifelong energy.

How We Addressed This Challenge

The working structure is to be determined by vacuuming. When something other than gas is attached to the vacuuming system, this will be prevented with a grating. A strainer will be added to the ends of the assembly to vacuum only the air. With the help of strainers, animals will not be harmed. Strainers will be too small. Only air passage will be provided. When the vacuum occurs every 5 seconds, air flow will be provided from 250 meters apart to a single place. It will reach each assembly within 1 second for the air flow provided. Detected points will be separated. For this reason, an emergency intervention will take place in the detected area.

How We Developed This Project

Since the simulation was perfomed within the team, a clearer project idea was created by exchanging graphic design and ideas. The team worked on sensitivity due to the fire events we experienced in 2020 and the long duration of these fire events. The tools we use are Adobe Photoshop, Jaxa Datas, Eosdis.
