Spot That Fire V3.0

Recent wildfires worldwide have demonstrated the importance of rapid wildfire detection, mitigation, and community impact assessment analysis. Your challenge is to develop and/or augment an existing application to detect, predict, and assess the economic impacts from actual or potential wildfires by leveraging high-frequency data from a new generation of geostationary satellites, data from polar-orbiting environmental satellites, and other open-source datasets.

For better ecosystem

Summary

when you start researching the topic and you are wondering why these fires cannot be controlled and why they spread so quickly, we found what is called monoxide gas. That gas is the harmful and poisonous gas that is produced due to the lack of oxygen gas or high temperature. our idea is based on making a device that is provided with a substance that interacts with the monoxide gas, and the sensors in the device will monitor that reaction at its beginning and send waves to firefighting devices in the form of an alarm.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Believing in the role of every being living in nature and its right to live, we saw that this challenge is the most suitable one for us fitting with our skills in solving problems following EDP steps, after a long researches we found that the solutions in this field are so limited and ineffective because of the high cost so we decided to make our project based on some points and the first one is the low cost to be applicable, for these reasons it's so important to find a solution helps the nature to recover faster after the damaging fires, our project is a device that secretes a chemical substance which react with the carbon monoxide resulted from the fires to produce a light or heat so the sensor in the device will detect it to send signals to the competent authority telling them that there are fires, we hope to save the nature. for the dangers of these fires, many millions animals lose their lives because of theses fires in addition to the different kinds of plants and the air pollution, so we hope to reduce even a small part of the forest fires.

How We Developed This Project

Our inspiration to have chosen this challenge and built the idea was the situation of the environmental disaster that hits our world that happened in Australia when the forests get burned and they cannot rescue most of the animals. first, this horrible accident affect the whole world from the smallest animal to the biggest. the burning forests emit harmful gases which cause a lot of problems and challenges like pollution, un balancing ecosystem, and increasing in the green house gases which causes global warming. for tools we are going to use sensors, drone, chemical substance will react with Carbon monoxide and we are going to use C+ Language. for problems First, was the way to search on the internet then we were assisted to NASA website and other related trusted websites that helped us very well. our achievements is that we learnt in small time how to edit video and how to make it and also from our achievements was that we knew more about monoxide gas and how it is effect the world.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

Firstly we searched for the reason of forest fires in different sources

After that we searched for the results of forest fires, And we searched for the areas which have most of the reasons of the forest fires and we got out data from. Then we were in need to know more information about carbon monoxide and its chemical and physical properties so we used this PDF book to get the required information then we searched for the prior solutions for theses problems https://www.nap.edu/read/20333/chapter/3
