The genesis of the game came with the idea to explain certain concepts, as lag due to distance, black outs, data transmission rate decreasing with distance, use of relay satellite, and the consequences associated. For this, we started with a simulation on a Solar System. The scenario covers the main problematics that will be encountered, in the appropriate phase of the mission.
Planets, spaceship and satellites are rendered and animated in Unity. Many simplification were applied to the system, as circular orbits, planets that are not on scale, as this is a simple game. Data from https://mars.nasa.gov and https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/tdm/dsoc/index.html were explored for useful facts.
