Summary
Our challenge is to develop a method to improve public knowledge of these satellites. So as a solution for that we decided to make a satellite website. It provides a simulation of all kinds of satellites, Dismantling and mantling it again, by that you get to know the main pieces of the satellite, their functions, how do they work, and how to repair them if malfunctioned. This site contains an enormous database of the 2,666 satellites currently orbiting Earth including their country of origin, purpose, and other operational details. The website can be updated with new information. In future this website can hold events with Nasa, to let people be more informed about satellites.
How We Addressed This Challenge
We developed an interesting way to learn information about satellite by making a website that contains many tools to make people learn it in an easy way in addition to organized events supervised by Egyptian space agency which will future experts who will talk about satellites, their importance, and the way they work, all of that will provide more and more information and attention for people. It’s important because this project achieved the challenge’s target by making people interested to learn information about satellites in modern ways which it contains like simulation tools, educational games, and enormous databases of satellites. So, this project will make people know the importance of satellites in our life and the way it works. we hope to continue developing this website to become more informative and useful for people.
How We Developed This Project
A science that moved our passion to know about our world and how works.
Satellites have a big part of control our world for example our communication cannot work without satellites. We have always wanted to communicate to everyone the importance of satellites around us and how our world works and how that affects our future. So, what a wonderful knowledge and obtain the reward for delivering that to everyone most simply and cheaply. This is a great achievement in humanity. We want to participate in it and positively affect our world.
Searching, collecting data, simplifying it, and creating new methods that are attractive to all people, easy and available. All of this was our method of building our project related to introducing people to satellites, their importance, and the importance of caring for them and developing them for the future. Our path is to educate people about satellites after collecting data.
It is simplifying the information and dividing it in a simple way that makes it easy for everyone to understand, and this is done through.
Making a simulation of the satellite, its parts, composition, and information about the satellite and all its types and history since the invention of the first satellite until now and all the scientists involved in the development of the satellite and the multiplicity of its types and use
and map of the satellites and their geographic distribution around the earth
And trying to link the website with satellites and display what it filmed
And the connection of each space agency with the website
also, ground observatories that monitor the satellites.
Our project is a website that provides the user with very enough information about satellites, their importance, and their impact.
And we created it with (word-press) and (go daddy)
We took advantage and strengthened our project with NASA tools and references such as NASA offers and NASA tools.
Which evolved from the site beautifully and interactively.
Some amendments were added to the site using languages HTML and CSS.
The delivery of knowledge and science is hope, a dream, and a desire.
We have always been in conflict with time and the difficulty of collecting and organizing the data, and our trails to simplifies it in the simplest form for everyone to accept and understand
And also, to make our solution available and easy for everyone to offer it to more people, and also to be attractive and inspiring.
We had no problems; they were dreams and we strive to achieve them.
How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project
We believe that the database is the gate to start any project in any field. So, our project focus on information about the satellites. So, because it is too hard to reach to the hardware part of the satellite and identifying on the structure realistically, we depend on the software solution. As a result, we started to develop a website that can help to achieve our purpose and contain all the data to fulfill the challenge goal also to make it easy for the user. But before we start at the programming part, we must first collect the info from a trusted source. So, we didn’t find any reliable sources except the website of NASA and its partners. but, there was a huge problem. It was that NASA, ESA, JAXA, and CSA didn’t have enough data about all the satellites and space centers all over the planet. So we make the priority to NASA(and the partners) and then in the second place we hired with the local space agencies in each country and finally, we used some articles and some other trust internet websites from some organization to complete our whole picture and all the data we needed. And now we are planning to make a cooperation with several organizations. Also, we use the offers of NASA with the other companies and from the resources to build our website and our visualization tool and we get to benefit from it. The collaboration between NASA and GO DAADY was useful or our project. We use the data of the ESA as a standard or basic source of the European satellite information. NASA for all, CPA for North America, and JAXA for AISA. However, the other agencies like the Egyptian one help us, and we are about to make a deal with them. Furthermore, we will not miss the offline part that will be the next step after the work is done on the website and after publishing it to the populace.
