Perseus Space WA| Orbital Sky

Orbital Sky

A huge number of satellites in Earth's orbit support our day-to-day life on the ground. Your challenge is to develop a method to improve public knowledge of these satellites, with an eye towards driving user engagement, enthusiasm, and exploration.

Next Genaration Communication Sattelite

Summary

The main purpose of our research is that the construction costs of the rockets that will launch large satellites are high and the rockets that will launch them into space are only found in certain countries. Our modular new generation communication satellite will be a preliminary design of the satellites that will be sent to space with low weight and volume only for special purposes.Unlike the previous satellites, the satellite we are designing will be a miniature satellite with a smaller size and weight, which is taken to a lower altitude by a research rocket or hot air balloon. With the production of our satellite, a cost-effective satellite with high technology and lightness features can.

How We Addressed This Challenge

We developed a sattelite for researchings. That is important because we aimed to help to scientific discoveries and space exploration.

How We Developed This Project

With the work done, it is planned to create a prototype for sattelites designed for special puposes. It is aimed to transfer atmospheric information and geographical information to the ground station. This information will be as follows. A modular sattelite has been designed that measure attitude, presure, temperature, acceleration, locatin, time and date data and transmits these data to the ground station with Xbee communication modules. At the same time, sizess of these data were determined at certain intervals. It will save it to the SD car, which is a 3D drawing program in our design. The mechanical system was implemented using 10x10x10 cm and 10x10x30 cm Solidworks.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We provide our data from the resources of NASA and integrated into our project.
