We have developed a website called SPAIZA. Here, we have the home page where visitors will find interactive designs and know the importance of satellite knowledge. On the top there is a navigation bar. In the satellite tab, there are information of famous satellites coded in an attractive way. The Current view tab is linked to Nasa's world view. And the connect tab will help users to share there knowledge and ideas.
We believe all space scientists and researchers are great. Their inventions, project plans, ideas, theories have been useful to people of earth in one way or another. Despite of so much success in this field of study, it has always seemed complicated to the common citizens. When this fear of complicated study will be diminished among us, our new generation will be more active on this platform. This way, there will be more space researchers, engineers, etc and they will help in finding solutions for a problem in the easiest way.
Impact of our website will be silent but big. Young explorers will get into our website considering it as attractive and fun. They will love the interactive design and get to read the contents. When a teenager will find our website useful and motivating, they will research deeper and bring out the innovative ideas into their own creation. They will visit the page more often as this website will contain various information in a cheerful manner. Students then will use our website to improve their sense of knowledge about space and satellite which will have a greater impact on the upcoming generation.
Taking our idea to the next level: First, we think NASA astronauts and researches can give suggestions, ideas, and maybe appreciations on our "connect" page in their free time. Next, we can build a quiz page where the users can test their knowledge about satellites. Currently, there is no platform where users can study, test, and learn about satellites. Taking this project to the next level can be considered as taking the next generation one step further to be a space scientist.
Our project is inspired from a few things. Firstly, it is the thoughts of people in our community about space study. Secondly, we noticed that their knowledge about satellites and satellite data are not enough. Some more similar circumstances brought this question on our mind :
Why don't we make space study easier? Why can't every human on earth use satellite data to make lives better?
THAT'S WHEN THE SPIRIT CAME, AN IDEA THAT WILL BE A HUGE BENEFIT TO THE WORLD.
The project is website based. This is because, there are various users around the world(some with android and some with iOS). Web is the common with all.
We used many codes and platforms.
Coding languages include: HTML5 , CSS, JAVASCRIPT, PHP, MySQL.
There were simple problems like bugs, silly errors, host choice etc. We all as a group overcame those problems and continued with our project.
The most important achievement from our project is experience. We could experience virtual meetups. All our members are from different places, we shared knowledge and performed a group work which is great. Moreover, we learnt, researched and worked about all data we needed for making this project a success.
We used open data about satellites and satellite images from NASA. We used it as our website content. This is the data that our users will study from. All NASA's satellite information is gathered in our project along with other open data. NASA has already made it so easy for everyone that anyone can easily use the interface to sort data and use those to boost up their knowledge. Team Sirius’ modification on it is to connect the data source(especially from world earth data) to common people who might have a feeling of research complicacy. Now that NASA’s amazing development is linked on our site, it will be far easier for everyone to reach and enhance their capability to the next level!
