We developped an interactive website that shows and regroups all the space agencies around the world related to space missions. It is very important because it sums up all the knowledge we have about space missions and the informations each missions collected. Our website is technically a map of Earth that shows every space agency, institute or company with a pointer and when you click on it, it gives you their date of creation, the location of their headquarters, their main research center, the space mission they participated for and with who they participated. We hope to achieve a full map with absolutely all the company or institute or space agencies to really show the influence and the importance of the space field in the world.
We were searching for a subject and when we saw the "Space Exploration in Your Backyard" we were all thinking that we only know few space programs and space missions related to only NASA, ESA or JAXA. So we decided to do a sort of a list of all space agencies and institues which also regroups them into projects and show them on a map to see their influence through the world. First we searched on the web all of the space agencies in the world and their participation in the space field. Then we found all the "small" companies"or almost unknown companies that developed engines for spacecraft or propulsion system. The difficult things was to find all the correct informations and be carefull about fake news, and also the large amount of space agencies in the world that exist.
At the beginning we were searching for some ideas to create our project. We conclude that there is a lot of climate link that shows the weather, the polution, or forest in the world but almost none of them was about the space history. So we used the NASA database to find every company that participated to a space program and what did they conceive. We also collected informations on the official webiste of space agencies and the big organisations like ESA or CNES.
