Space Exploration in Your Backyard

The work of space exploration (and the societal benefits it brings) permeates every location and facet of society. Your challenge is to create a visual representation of the breadth of the space sector’s influence, showing the network of organizations and locations associated with the work of space exploration.

Building the laboratory on Moon

Summary

Our idea is building a laboratory on moon in a "lucrative way" which helps in learning behaviour of various species in space. This includes lava tubes, manufacturing fuel using lunar ice, recycling of water and metals, manufacturing glass using silicon dioxide, generating power using solar energy(panel),extraction of helium for more power, recycling of waste for long term residing of astronauts (that includes recycling of human wastes).

How We Addressed This Challenge

We came up with an idea of building laboratory on moon in an Inexpensive way. It is important for exploring space technology for sustainable development. When talking about space exploration it becomes necessary to concentrate on the expenditure of the mission so that the budget can be used in a very effective way. Our idea does the same.

How We Developed This Project

Discoveries in astronomy inspired us to take this challenge. Researching on various resources that contributes our idea. We created a visual representation of our idea. In an environment where any injury or damage would cause the expenses to go very high, staying inside the natural tunnels could be a highly valuable tool for astronauts, safely revealing lunar secrets.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We didn't use the data directly but we've been influenced by some information provided by the NASA official website.

Data & Resources

We collected information on lava tubes by NASA official website.
