Tech_Army has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!
We worked on an AR application that lets you explore various space related institutes and locations like JAXA, NASA HQ, universities that work with NASA etc. all in your backyard in an interactive way using AR. It lets you visit different locations on a 3D map and gain knowledge about it. Through this interactive way, lesser known institutes and research facilities are put in the limelight.
The project offers the user two choices, Either to go into the Explore Zone or to access Curiosity Zone.
In the Explore Zone, the user can see different locations in an augmented map on the ground. The user can select a particular continent to filter out the locations of that continent only. When the user gaze at a particular location, then there are 4 features.
In the Curiosity Zone, the user test their knowledge about the specific location and can unlock AR Tour Lock. When the user selects a particular location, the pop appears with a random question about that center, if the gives the right answer the portal gets unlocked and the user can travel through the tunnel to visit that location, Yes! the location, comes to life in your backyard!
Many people associate the space sector with only a few specific regions of the world, and they are not even aware of different organization, government agencies, small businesses, research institutions, universities, large businesses etc. that are working behind many space explorations missions and tasks. We wanted to create a platform where every small contribution the research will be highlighted and people will get aware with them.
We have divided the task in the 4 phases
We have used an Augmented Reality Technology to develop the project and used the following tools and software and the project is majorly written in C# programming Language.
We used NASA, CNA, CNES and other agencies data to track the status of their current and upcoming projects. We have used NASA History resource to collect information about the space exploration missions and projects done by NASA's Space Centers. We have used that data to feature it in our Explore Zone.
We used NASA 3D Resource to access 3D models of NASA's Space Missions.
We used NASA's Space Acts agreements to import information about NASA's Agreements and Collaborations with other Space Agencies.
1. NASA History - To collect data of historical activities of NASA.
2. NASA Partnership - To collect information regarding NASA's Partnership and Agreements with other Organizations and Communities.
3. NASA 3D Resources - To access NASA 3D Model Gallery of different Space Exploration Missions.
4. NASA Research Announcements- To collect Information about International Space Station, for the space section of our Solution.
