Space Exploration in Your Backyard

The work of space exploration (and the societal benefits it brings) permeates every location and facet of society. Your challenge is to create a visual representation of the breadth of the space sector’s influence, showing the network of organizations and locations associated with the work of space exploration.

User Interface for Space happenings Near You

Summary

This web application we have designed will help out all those space science enthusiasts. The topic we chose was space exploration in your backyard. While looking at the problem, we realised the lack of resources for everyone who is even interested in science or astronomy. To tackle this, we have developed a platform, where everyone can register themselves a free account and meet like-minded people near them. After registering, the user will have to give access to their location so that they would receive personalised details based on their location. For people who conduct science experiments, they can post it on our feed thereby notifying the other enthusiasts in their locality.

How We Addressed This Challenge

By creating a user friendly social media like platform, we would have given people a way to be aware of the different astronomical and astrophysical surrounding them.

How We Developed This Project

We have a functioning website and we are adding all the necessary widgets and everything we had planned for. From login to the log out page the basic framework is complete . We have added a map which will show his current location We are currently working on the home page and we are also planning to add an accounts page to enable the users to see their progress and the number of events they have attended. All the certificates and achievements of the user would be given here for easy access.

We are adding a space news section on the home page so that the user could get everything in one place.
