Breakthrough

Faster-than-light travel is the key to humanity’s dreams of inter-galactic space travel. Your challenge is to create an app, tool, game, or other interactive application that showcases both existing, as well as next generation/theoretical, breakthrough spacecraft propulsion in an engaging way.

Moon-hub Drawing

Summary

I made a drawing on Google Slide to convey the storyline that intergalactic space travel is no longer a humanity’s dream. Road to Mars has been paved, moon exploration too. Yet, we simply waste fuel and efforts by sending all the crafts directly from Earth. We need to build a hub soon, e.g on the moon to do some necessary assembly, refuel, or even research.

How I Addressed This Challenge

I am a 7 years old girl who just got familiarised with computer softwares and coding. I have been interested to stories and books about space travel. The future of space travels need to be more efficient on using fuel, reuse spacecrafts, and the travel time too! I draw on Google Slides the idea of building a hub on the Moon. I hope this is useful to send a message to non-technical audience or many people out there. More people needs to be aware of this.

How I Developed This Project

I am inspired by recent NASA collaboration with private companies like SpaceX. Many more space explorations are sooner than we thought before. That is why we need a hub. As this is a simple drawing, no necessary challenges during the process.

How I Used Space Agency Data in This Project

I have been learning Scratch programming language for a while, but not skilled enough to create a project that incorporates space data. I will be back with more robust projects next year!
