Breakthrough

Faster-than-light travel is the key to humanity’s dreams of inter-galactic space travel. Your challenge is to create an app, tool, game, or other interactive application that showcases both existing, as well as next generation/theoretical, breakthrough spacecraft propulsion in an engaging way.

Spacecraft Amaze

Summary

It is an interactive game.At the start page will be 3 divisions stating how to play, Start Game and Help. When start Game is prompted, it will take the player to the next screen where the player has to customize the Spacecraft in which the player will be starting his/her journey. When a player is upgrading to a new rocket engine or thruster, information will be provided about the engine/thruster/rocket like the power of engine or thruster, the missions it was used in, most recent mission, number of miles it has travelled, best/most frequently used with which rocket, the organization which built it and is using it (like NASA, SpaceX, ESA, etc).

How I Addressed This Challenge

There will also be section labelled "Know More about the Rocket Engines/Thrusters" that the players can access at anytime throughout the game and will provide information directly from the directories of agencies like NASA, SpaceX, ESA, JAXA, etc about the Rocket Engines and thrusters, and if a player wants to know more about these Rocket Engines and Thrusters, he/she can click to the Link given in the game in this section which will direct them to a Organized Section of a Combined Directory of the agencies we have referred data from, consisting of each and every bit of information about the rocket engines/thrusters, the missions used in, theoretical futuristic engines and how they can be used, future missions in which these engines could be possibly used, any other info which could be thought of as related to rocket engines and thrusters.

How I Developed This Project

Spacecrafts always interested me and to share such useful information with the people on such a massive scale is kinda what Inspired me to choose this challenge. The initial idea to build a game came after reading the Potential considerations given for help. The initial stage of the app is still in development and I put a lot of hard work in developing the initial stage of the app, as I didn’t know much in the coding area. I had a lot of problems to overcome as i had to learn how to build and design an app from the scratch as I’m just an average teenager.

How I Used Space Agency Data in This Project

When a player is upgrading to a new rocket engine or thruster, information will be provided about the engine/thruster/rocket which is based on the data given in the repository like the power of engine or thruster, the missions it was used in, most recent mission, number of miles it has travelled, best/most frequently used with which rocket, the organization which built it and is using it (like NASA, SpaceX, ESA, etc).

Data & Resources

As a reference taken in the app, repositories of data Of NASA Is taken into account to provide any data on the spacecrafts featured in the app. This data includes information about the spacecraft such as the power of engine/thruster, the missions it was used in, most recent missions, the organization which built it and is using it, most frequently used with which rocket, etc.
