Faster-than-light travel is the key to humanity’s dreams of inter-galactic space travel. Your challenge is to create an app, tool, game, or other interactive application that showcases both existing, as well as next generation/theoretical, breakthrough spacecraft propulsion in an engaging way.

A Trip to Proxima Centauri.

Summary

We have created a website(cosmosexplorer.co) in which we explain theoretical ideas which may enable us to go to Proxima Centauri within a lifetime. This is to create interest among people and provide an idea sharing platform to scientific community .

How We Addressed This Challenge

Our Website has a interactive animated form in which we try to explain the the possible propulsion system in a fun way getting public interest into the topic. Among all the propulsion systems we found Laser Propulsion stands out to be the best and hence we have shown this propulsion system which has been intended to be used in future by Breakthrough Starshot.

How We Developed This Project

We used HTML5, Custom CSS-3 and framework of BootStrap, Vanilla JavaScript, Jquery and using third party Vendor JS like WowJS.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We went through open source research papers to get information of the ideas and concepts and try to bring the possible ones under one platform. We even took information from the blogs provided as an open source resource.
