"Space Pirates" is a game, combining education and fun. It makes science and space education more accessible to people. The game rewards the player with points and equipment as he succeeds in quizzes. The game is ideal for interactive learning and familiarizes students with space and engineering. It can be played with multiple players, even in a classroom. The teacher will be able to change the questions, so that they adapt to the education level and the lesson’s needs. The students will be able to compete in groups so that they will be able to combine their knowledge and learn about teamwork. Also, the competition is a very good motive so the students will have the will to pay attention in the information that the game provides.
We are a group of four students in Electrical Engineering and we are interested in projects that include coding, interaction with space and make us explore our imagination, an opportunity that you don't often come across in university. We think that there is a need for such an app, that approaches space education in an engaging way. Our highest goal is to give an idea of something that has an impact to the educational system. We are not familiar with graphics, but we wrote a pseudocode, to make our idea more clear.
We used information about propulsion engines.
