Breakthrough

Faster-than-light travel is the key to humanity’s dreams of inter-galactic space travel. Your challenge is to create an app, tool, game, or other interactive application that showcases both existing, as well as next generation/theoretical, breakthrough spacecraft propulsion in an engaging way.

Space Xplorer

Summary

The main aim of this project is to make you understand the different propulsion systems and will visualize the distances and time taken through an amazing and exciting journey through our Solar System. This project will display the journey of astronauts from earth to Alpha Centuari surpassing different propulsion systems. The project has five levels. The initial level displays the journey from earth to the moon. The second level displays the journey to asteroid Bennu. The third level displays the journey to the planet Mars in order to make human an interplanetary species. Then the fourth mission to the planet Saturn. The final mission is to the Alpha Centuari star system.

How We Addressed This Challenge

We can understand different propulsion which is existing and and the others which are still in development and also can improve these upcoming space travel features.

How We Developed This Project

We used Java for coding and GIMP and Autodesk Sketchbook for Graphics, we took inspiration from Nasa's Rocket Science : Ride to Station.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We took inspiration from Nasa's Rocket Science : Ride to Station. We took some graphics from Nasa's Eyes app. We used the resources given in the resources tab for the respective challenge.
