Breakthrough

Faster-than-light travel is the key to humanity’s dreams of inter-galactic space travel. Your challenge is to create an app, tool, game, or other interactive application that showcases both existing, as well as next generation/theoretical, breakthrough spacecraft propulsion in an engaging way.

Atmosphere bounce

Summary

Our project is based on handling a simulation that allows the user to theoretically experience what would happen if it bounces off the atmosphere and what consequences it would have, as well as talking about the planet KEPLER 22B and how the return trip experience from there to Earth would be. All this based on a simulation.

How We Addressed This Challenge

We develop a simulation, it is important because it shows how space tourism is going to be and above all what would happen if the ship bounces in the atmosphere, it is basically based on graphics and interaction resources to be able to show the travel that is limited in a virtual experience only for astronauts

How We Developed This Project

We are inspired by the fact of bringing virtually being in space to an experience for anyone and putting the theory of an atmospheric bounce into practice, we use programming language and programs such as Unreal Editor and Sketch Up, at first we do not present problems, no However, currently the biggest challenge is to take it as a visual resource to render

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

The information from NASA and other sources was very helpful, as we increased our knowledge and enriched important gaps that we had, but above all it was the axis to develop the simulation in a good and educational way, It greatly influenced the understanding and direction of the project since it improved its focus and the purpose of the project, it helped to use different information resources that were very helpful.

Project Demo

Currently, due to connection and platform issues, it is impossible for us to upload simulation files since the Render content is very heavy and difficult to export.
