Breakthrough

Faster-than-light travel is the key to humanity’s dreams of inter-galactic space travel. Your challenge is to create an app, tool, game, or other interactive application that showcases both existing, as well as next generation/theoretical, breakthrough spacecraft propulsion in an engaging way.

Endless Journey in your Capsule(EnJoy.C)

Summary

It will start with 2 souls and will be able to travel between galaxies in seconds, passing through the black hole. They will have more interesting information about the planet, telescopes, observation tools, and research. Players can organize their own travels in free mode, explore any planet. Answer 3 questions correctly, they will be shaken and / or survive the meteor shower, meteorite impact. In order to earn points, astronauts and spaceships injured in the ufo invasion will be required to be mounted or cod written. Items will be exchanged in the game, etc. You will be able to sell them.

How We Addressed This Challenge

What did you develop?,Why is it important?

By developing a 3D virtual universe application, we will ensure that people learn about space and astronomy sciences that people do not know much, and / or that NASA is developing and / or that is not very known, which can be updated continuously, by asking and playing on various tasks during the game. It is important because it gives you the ability to learn a variety of fun, relieve stress and even cope with real life and the difficulties it brings, acting with a group of friends and working in a group.

Why does it do? A group of people of all ages will enable them to gain information by having fun. Also, as it is a fun and information-oriented game, one will relax while playing this game.

How does it work? Players will participate in live multitasking. The Solar System will allow us to explore planets, moons, asteroids, comets and them by traveling on prop spacecraft discovered from the past to the present. The game will start with two lives. Each rocket launched into space will represent a different country. This game will focus on continuity, not time. It will encourage the person to research educationally. We wanted to make a breakthrough in mining in space in the game, so by creating imaginary places based on science data, a sample collection maneuver called "Touch and Go" will be created. In the game, the next year's level will be completed on time. For example, the asteroids of X countries collecting items with many satellites such as copper from rocky surfaces will earn more points for the player. The asteroids that repair material damage will earn extra points when they come to the planet, i.e. when extreme situations such as space invasion occur. It would be to assemble the pieces of jig or simply piece together the pieces of software, cod like a puzzle, or, for example, the presence of acid clouds on the planet Venus will awaken the astronauts and find the phosphine gas by investigating what caused them. When the interplanetary transition is made in space, the information we have obtained based on NASA's data will take place in the small box at the top right of the game. The capsule will be a control mechanism while traveling between the planets, so that they can control their orbits themselves. Otherwise, when the meteorite hits, when they are near the sun, if they are imprisoned in the black hole, the asteroid will die. In order to be able to be saved, the asteroid will be asked questions about the science of space and astronomy. For 10 questions, the player who answers most questions correctly will get rid of that black hole. He will help his teammates explore the game.

As the game is updated, more challenging missions will be added to our additional modules.

What do you hope to achieve? The most important factor in the establishment of the game is to increase the interest of the people who are interested in space and astronomy sciences more on continuity rather than passing time. The increase in professions with broader concepts such as astrophysics, more participation in astrology (hackathon) competitions such as NASA, and

We hope to encourage the person to research educationally.

How We Developed This Project

What inspired your team to choose this challenge?

The reason why we chose Breakthrough (Create) among the seven main topics is the curiosity of the work and research on space. The game always increases their creativity on people, and most importantly, it makes learning easier.

What was your approach to developing this project?

He noticed that the information learned in a fun way in education was more permanent. Therefore, we aimed to bring together both educational models and Focus goodness in the same environment.

What tools, coding languages, hardware, software did you use to develop your project?

Game engine Unity(C#), 2D Drawing ,Adobe Photoshop CC, 3D Drawing, Blender.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

Space applications have benefited from the data in 2020 and the sites published by NASA in the resources section. One of them was "eyes on the solar system" from NASA's EYES website. In the application we designed, we added the information we obtained from CSA as an information note in areas that can reach users more in our application. We also benefited from the following topics of the CSA:Atmospheric Science

Earth observation

Life Sciences

Space Astronomy

Space Environment/Space Weather

Space Exploration

Telemetry
