Aquarela has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!
We've developed an educational mobile app for children (from 2-7 years old) to learn about the solar system with music and minigames.
It's important because children are our diamond for the future. The earlier they learn about science, the more they create, develop and discover about important technologies for the world. Maybe one of them could save our lives, right?
The application teach them in an effortless way about all of the planets in the solar system. We wanted them to learn not knowing they're learning, so thats why we chose music as their book. While they're distracted playing minigames, they'll actually absorb something from it.
We really hope this will be in every children's tablet/smartphone in the world, because science starts not only with graduated scientists, but also in every idea a creative kid can have.
The 'create a mascot' challenge really got our atention. Our team was inspired by it because we all love the educational area!
At first, we searched about all of the people who we could help with a new educational technology, and the kids were the most interesting and loving audience we've found.
We used HTML to develop all of the front-end code for the application. The music was recorded with the IOS voice recorder.
The softwares that helped us are: Visual Studio Code, Adobe XD, Git, Github and Discord.
We had a problem with the developing time, because we really thought we could implement the minigames before the project submission, but we couldn't do that in time.
We used the NASA's websites data to create all of the information found in the song lyrics in the application.
All of the imges of planets we added to our project are from NASA's website for kids.
