Many students are classified as "unsatisfactory" for not being able to adapt to the conventional method of study. We know that they should not adapt to the teaching methods, but these should be adapted to students instead, since each person is unique, and that is why they require different ways to learn.

Right now, we must plan the transition between conventional and future education.

We believe that we must take advantage of technology to create a new way of learning that includes everyone and brings out the best of each learner.

Why us?

We are a group of Argentinian students with a desire to create, explore and learn, and we feel enthusiastic about knowledge. We want to experience and understand everything that surrounds us, not only on planet Earth, but also in the whole Universe. 

We have always wanted to find a way to make this process more bearable, but just like many students around the world, we share a problem:

Conventional learning becomes monotonous and boring

The way that information is explained to students in many institutions is good for some of them, but sadly it is not for many others. With the purpose of making this process easier for everyone, we have created CANIX.

Our solution

CANIX is an app guided by artificial intelligence, which shares the same name. This AI uses OpenAI's GPT-3 technology, which is capable of accessing all public information on the network and creating, for example, highly complex reports and also individual explanations depending on the student's needs.

The quality of the texts generated by GPT-3 is so high that it is difficult to distinguish them from those written by humans, which has led to the realization of the benefits and risks involved.

There are thousands of options that students can use to facilitate the study of absolutely any subject they want. Students can communicate with this MASCOT using their voice, exactly as if they were really interacting with the best teacher in the world. This tutor can answer complex mathematical questions, make summaries, tell stories of events that changed the world we live in today and much more: it is an intelligent study assistant that you can carry in your pocket.

Our mascot is a robot called CANIX created by and for students, with an optimistic personality that is always eager to learn new things and then share its knowledge to interested students.

CANIX has its own chatbot where you can hold conversations with. Use it to talk about any topic that interests you, you can talk about your life, the things you love and your main interests. The mascot will always have suggestions and advices for you.

CANIX’s face is a screen composed of pixels, so his facial expression will vary depending on what you are telling him, it will tell you what it hinks and what are the best solutions for your problems, its is the best partner you can have, you can learn infinite things about him, and it can learn infinite things about you.

The best part about CANIX is the tremendous amount of knowledge that it stores, it is the most intelligent being on the planet, there is no way to get bored of it, thanks to its ability to learn in a flexible way aiming to adapt the necessities of the user.

Why our solution is the right choice?

Well, everything sounds cool, but what makes our app different from the rest? CANIX is an app that adapts to each student. When you start the app and register, our mascot will automatically perform the KOLB test to our students.

Kolb's learning style inventory is an interesting tool that will allow the mascot to identify personal characteristics and the way each student processes information. The four learning styles identified in this inventory range from an active style to a reflective one, as well as the preferences in the approach of the information that move from the concrete to the abstract. In addition, it is important to keep in mind that the learning styles are adjustable with time depending on the lived experiences.

Thanks to this, students will have a customized experience that fits their individual needs, which will make everything easier for them to learn faster!

There are different categories where students can access to study topics of different branches of study. The information of these categories varies depending on the result that the student has obtained in the KOLB test, but, undoubtedly, the best part of this is that, once you finish studying a certain topic, there appears an option to solve a quiz. The quiz can be used to compete with other students on the topics they have studied, and the winner gets experience points and wins badges that will make them level up in their profile. This will keep students motivated to continue studying to raise their level.

Students with certain disabilities that prevent them from studying in the conventional way have also been taken into account, giving them the possibility of choosing one of the four learning methods so that it fits their needs. People with severe visual impairments will be able to select auditory learning, people with hearing impairments will be able to select a method that shows graphics and visual examples, and children with dyslexia can learn and have fun through simple mini-games. With this great idea, students can have fun, meet new people and learn a lot!

Let's make young people want to learn

This app also has many options that could make it a social learning network, as it has communities created by students, where they can find people from all over the world with the same desire to learn. They can share information, answer questions and even challenge one another to mini knowledge games!

There is also a news section that will contain important information on all aspects of our planet and even on other planets, this information will be provided directly by NASA, CSA, CNES, JAXA, ESA and many other important organizations of reliable information, where students can be informed of the most important events in the world without having to worry about whether these are fake news from the Internet.

This is an app that could change a new generation of students around the world. We could make a positive change in young people, to create a better society, a society with a desire to learn, but this is only possible if we all work together.
