Create a Mascot

The world is full of scientific information that can help us make informed decisions and take action. However, that information is not always accessible to young learners. Your challenge is to create a mascot that can help make learning about Earth and space science more fun and welcoming for younger audiences.

GALAX

Summary

We believe that youth people are the future, so it's important to provide the information they need through using modern ways to help them to know about their planet and space in a fun and simple ways. We chose to create a mascot its name is "Galax", she's an astronaut. In our videos, we focus on three essential topics: planet Earth, planet Mars and space missions. Our goal to make this mascot an inspiration for the youth, thus they love space and earth science and be able to explore all the great achievements that occur in those fields. The future vision of our mascot is to make it a 3d character, make animation videos, update the idea to have e-books, flashcards, and games.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Based on our challenge of creating a mascot that can help make learning about Earth and space sciences more enjoyable and welcoming for younger audiences, we have created the Mascot (Galax) that will be as the lucky charm that We have supported it by creating a website that contains the information we want to communicate with the audiences. The importance of our mascot lies in the way that we will make learning earth and space sciences simple and easy to suit younger audiences and make it funny supported with pictures and colors so that the learner does not get bored of knowing more information but rather the opposite they will be excited to learn more and more. When the audiences explore our website, they will find videos explaining information about space science in a fun and easy way, and they will also find e-books that also explain this information to the audience that prefers to read. We hope to expand the categories that we explain in this simple way to make the audiences do not find it difficult to learn and explore.

How We Developed This Project

What made our team choose this challenge is that it generates innovation, creativity, and education for young people, this is very important and they are the most important category for education. A mission that will greatly benefit them in their future life, creativity, and innovation, and help young people to think in more ways and give them the best they want. His right. My team and I used some software and tools to create our mascot. We used Adobe Illustrator 2020 and Adobe Photoshop 2020 to create the mascot and designs then we used Adobe premiere pro 2020 and video maker to create the videos, we will develop your project by making our 3D mascot and we will add more information and we will add more videos about our solar system and planets and we will add more videos about the missions and more information and details as the other sites Don't talk about it and you'll talk about Mars in detail that NASA SPACE focuses on it the most.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

NASA information was very beneficial for our mascot idea and inspire youth in a simple and funny way to develop in them the love of space science.

https://solarsystem.nasa.gov/planets/earth/overview/ : we used basic information from NASA's websites about planet earth that youth can understand in simple ways.

https://solarsystem.nasa.gov/planets/mars/overview/: And we used information about Mars because most of the missions are on it and it take NASA's interest to be our future planet.

We talked about some of the robots that NASA has launched into space (Robonaut, Valkyrie, RoboSimian, Kirobo, Mars Pathfinder and CIMON). These robots that had been sent to the space or Mars planet to discover them.
