The world is full of scientific information that can help us make informed decisions and take action. However, that information is not always accessible to young learners. Your challenge is to create a mascot that can help make learning about Earth and space science more fun and welcoming for younger audiences.

NIIM aims at forming an investor-innovator platform also making scientific information accessible.

Summary

Visually appealing and recognizable mascot NIIM (Nations' Inspiration for Innovation Mascot),shaped like a bulb painted in the youthful yellow with eyes shaped like Zero is hopping round the globe to create a common investor-innovator platform(NIIM website) crafting the message "Set a benchmark for the future of Inventions"Molded from recycled items, NIIM serves different scientific information masked as entertainment on our plates hence making learning fun and accessible during-and-after the COVID19 situation.NIIM has a playful and inspiring personality that can be traced through its social media handles and NIIM comics. Adapting NIIM merch can show one's support towards innovation.

How I Addressed This Challenge

I have developed a visually appealing and recognizable mascot NIIM along with its Facebook page, Instagram account, Twitter handle, NIIM Comics, NIIM logo, NIIM Website and NIIM merchandise (NIIM coffee mugs, t-shirts, laptop skins and mobile phone hard covers).
NIIM's design holds a lot of significance to it, the bulb like shape of NIIM signifies the innovative ideology, NIIM's eyes shaped like zero point towards the truth that every invention starts from scratch, from a seemingly impossible idea and NIIM hops around showing that sometimes it does stumble, but knows how to get back up every time! Our youthful and energetic buddy couldn't have reciprocated its nature better than in shades of yellow!
NIIM is aimed at forming a common Investor-innovator platform along with making scientific information more accessible through NIIM website. With respect to today's world and the approaching future, the world needs innovators, thinkers and self learners more than ever before and NIIM is providing the world with a platform to learn, innovate and to create a better future.
NIIM functions through its website and motivates and encourages through its social media handles. NIIM website also provides options for collaboration with other startups as well. NIIM's target audience can be anyone who ever wants to grow ,learn and wants to create a better tomorrow.
Team NIIM hopes achieve a better tomorrow for innovators, thinkers and self learners and everyone in the world.

How I Developed This Project

Previously I have mostly indulged in team projects but this time I thought of going experimental and enrolled in an solo project.

Every innovator at some or the other has broken some social misconceptions. What can be a better opportunity to clear the misconception that innovations can strictly be made only in the field of science than taking up the "create a mascot challenge" in a global hackathon.

Personally I feel it is very important to let our minds explore every possible field, which in-turn would make innovating more diverse.

While developing this project the approach was to build something creative with a backbone of psychological and sociological understanding focused towards crafting a better tomorrow.

Problems and Achievements:

Previously I did not about hosting and creating designing websites and editing videos. I am thankful to the Space App for giving this push that ended up with me designing my first mascot, first website and first edited video.

How I Used Space Agency Data in This Project

Data from NASA has been incorporated in the NIIM website's"Education" and "Innovation" sections. These sections are inspired from NASA's provided open source data.
