Space Cousins Forever| Create a Mascot

Create a Mascot

The world is full of scientific information that can help us make informed decisions and take action. However, that information is not always accessible to young learners. Your challenge is to create a mascot that can help make learning about Earth and space science more fun and welcoming for younger audiences.

Space Cousins Forever - Mascot Callenge

Summary

We are 3 cousins, Mikayla aged 12, Adeline aged 10 and Daniel aged 7. We each created artwork for the Create a Mascot challenge.

How We Addressed This Challenge

We developed a mascot, a design for a robot cheetah that recycles, and a children's search and find book.

How We Developed This Project

We discussed the possible challenges as a group and each child worked on their own artwork.

Mikayla used ScratchPad to design her mascot Galaxia and she used Word to write Galaxia's backstory.

Adeline sketched her plans for the Recycling Cheetah Robot by hand and then made an ebook about it using StoryJumper.

Daniel created his search and find book using StoryJumper.

Screenshots and links to the StoryJumper books are also included in the slide presentation.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We wore our CSA t-shirts!
