The world is full of scientific information that can help us make informed decisions and take action. However, that information is not always accessible to young learners. Your challenge is to create a mascot that can help make learning about Earth and space science more fun and welcoming for younger audiences.

Owlbert

Summary

Owlbert is an AI based chatbot which was developed using RASA to help those enthusiasts, who wants to gather more knowledge about the Earth and Space Science all by themselves. With our own experience we know that isn't always easy to find the relevant information we seek for through the websites we commonly use. Even if one could he/she should have some amount of digital literacy and be comfortable with browsing the internet because you can't tell a search engine what you want as if you would tell to your friend.That's why thought of creating the Owlbert. It's AI based and you can chat with it in order to get the information you want.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Searching information about astronomy alone may become boring. Often, people find self studying is something boring since they have to go through their study journey alone.


We address this problem by introducing a chat bot. You won't feel you are alone when you are chatting with someone. Hence, our chat bot helps self studying people as a study partner.


Our chat bot is AI based so that even though it is a bot, it behaves as a real human. Users may ask it for information, about their interested topics, and the chat bot will provide them useful links, to explore, as the reply.

How We Developed This Project

The motivation was to inspire people to learn space science through a more conventional way, So we developed a mascot which interact people and also a chat bot which is the best way to interact with people

we used RASA chat frame work and NOde js as technologies for tools used sublime text and also the python latest

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We have used the NASA API to get responses from NASA database to feed the data to user by chat bot ,and also for training purpose we used Exponent data
