We made 3 Lego mascots, a rover, an astronaut and a space robot with a Canadarm. The idea is that small kids can easily recreate our mascots and play with their new Lego space buddies in their own home. We will inspire them by making short Youtube videos using our mascots and hand made drawings of space, like planets. These videos will entertain kids and educate them about space in a fun and relatable way.
We used Lego, markers, paper and a video camera to make our project and we uploaded our video to Youtube. We found it hard to film the videos because we are very little and couldn't remember what we were supposed to say, and our little sister kept laughing. We had a lot of fun creating this project and learned about our Solar System.
We used CSA and NASA image galleries to find inspiration for our mascots and drawings. We used a rover image and the canadarm image from the CSA image gallery and various images of planets in our solar system from the NASA image gallery.
