Targycardios has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!
We made the design of a pet inspired by the tardigrade, one of the most resistant living, because it has a dried state, it resists the absolute vacuum and pressures five times more intense than the deepest ocean, in addition in that state it produces great amounts of antioxidants that neutralize the space radiation.
Firstly we made sketches after that, two digital designs in 2D, first one in normal state and another in desired state, we implemented one of the designs in a filter for social networks. In addition to 3D modeling of the design in normal state. We also developed an application with virtual reality and with artificial intelligence to have a first interaction with the mascot. This application works when you focus the phone camera and it detects a surface and Targy appears. The next phases of the project are planned;
The creativity and skills of each team member were fundamental to choose the challenge, considering that the strengths of the team are creativity and technology, this was the challenge most attracted for us. Our focus is to create a friendly design with the public and also that people interact with the mascot, in order to identify targy as the mascot of the NASA. The tools and softwares used were sketchbook and photoshop to elaborate 2D designs, blender where we created the 3D design, spark.AR where we created a filter directed to social networks, Unity and vuforia to detect planes and visualize in augmented reality the models created. Some of the problems that we had were of hardware since several programs require specifications of high range to work fluently, also we had problems of software by problems of versions and compatibility: Some of the profits were to learn new technologies, methods of work in equipment and at distance.
We use Sapace app logos to add NASA logos to the designs, it is planned to have a mascot and to be an NASA image, also will be used to share information and research.
