For bigger spacecraft capable of executing bigger missions, some of the assembly may be done in space. Your challenge is to design a simple approach that enables components to be assembled in space.

Pollux and Castor

Summary

Pollux and Castor is a new innovative docking system that can be implemented in every spaceship, satellite, space station or cubesat.It works with a new attrack system, rose-petal system, that create a safe connection between to units and hallow the transfer of solids, liquids and gases among them. The today's space rendez-vous require the human being. This project make real the new Human Space Colonization.This system create infinite possibilities to make easier the future spatial infrastructures missions, the space cities and why not? The firt human mars exploration too.

How We Addressed This Challenge

How could we help build the shipyards and space hotels of tomorrow? 

This question inspired us to develop a new way to connect multiple modules and big structures, it is very important for this reason: revolute the new space technologies.

We decided to choose this challenge because space exploration is one of our passion and because is a theme that involve us in the future.

This project addresses our challenge at entirely.


How We Developed This Project

To make Pollux and Castor we use Inventor and AutoCAD for the 3d rendering and a 3D FMD Printer to create a prototype of the model. We also use Premiere PRO and Filmora9 to make the video.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We use the space agency data to take inspiration and to choose the perfect form. This data were most important to recognize the better way to help the humanity in the space exploration
