Our project is designed to minimize possible accidents in space. In this project, we wanted to minimize material damage and loss of life. With this mechanism, we aim to convert micro parts into macro parts with less cost. The mechanism we are considering to design will be used in more than one structure and we think it can be a more useful part.
Big Hero-6 animation inspired us and we started developing this project. Most technological tools in the world can now be used as very very small parts, but the tools used in space are very large. That's why we now think that these smaller and more functional pieces are necessary for our adventures in space. So we thought these parts were necessary mechanisms for work in space. In our project, we used laser receiver and transmitter sensors, camera sensors, pressure sensors, hydraulic (flexible) arms and robot arms.
We examined the data of the International Space Station. The data consists of videos of what processes the spacecraft, which is approaching the space station, goes through to connect. We thought about these data and tried to apply this data to the mechanism we wanted to establish.
