Crain Ball Type On Orbit Safe Docking System

Summary

The project works with a strong cable which has a ball with thrusters and a ladle which captures the ball sent from the device which needs service work.When connection has established service device can dock directly to the device which needs service or it can take it out from the orbit and put it back after the service This project provides a solution for the services, modification or building for on orbit systems like satellites,space stations or building on orbit structures. Solution works in two way as on orbit service it also provides the target device to take out of the orbit for a while and execute the support and put it back to its orbit.

How We Addressed This Challenge

There many nonactive satellites which are out of fuel or needs service or modification on the low,medium or far orbit of the Earth. After a period they become useless and it is very expensive to send new satellites to space. Project provides becoming back to life and duty of these dead or nearly dead satellites and space stations. Our docking system provides to dock and relase these satellites after fixing the necessary issue or work. by sending one rocket system can heal many satellites or other on orbit structures like space stations.

How We Developed This Project

One of our partificipants of our team had a ground station for constellation satellites. He told us about the satellites which are useless on orbit. The idea of solution came from this problem. Why can't we fix these useless satellites, let's find a way for this problem. Actually we used unity, solid works and also power director for video creation. The biggest problem was solution must be work in space and it is ecosystem. Tightness our cable and unexpected magnetism changes which is reason for space tourbulances also the low orbits very high speed were the the issues we afraid and we have still questions about them.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We have used resources for to approve our idea that maybe it can work properly in the space circumtances. Actually we have compared our solutions with the information in resources which solutions in our project usable or not.
