We developed a robot that aims to make space walks less frequent or even not necessary, using robots instead of humans, thus making assembly of components and even whole space station modules far more easier. it helps by fixing or preparing the components from the outside, the use of this robot makes large scale construction and telescopes bigger than before more feasible by making it faster and safer, also since structures can be assembled in space, we hope to make assembly of space bases or stations easier and safer.
We chose this challenge because we felt more comfortable with it, besides, we have no knowledge in other areas and also, we loved the idea of creating things to support astronauts in space.
It focuses on working and/or helping astronauts on risky activities, from space station maintenance to assembling parts of a structure.
We used Blender for the design, Google for searching information and the NASA website for references.
The biggest problem we had while developing this project, was finding a solution that did not involve humans
During this project we made some achievements, which were the knowledge that we obtained from our mentors and in return, we were able to create a concept for a prototype which can be used one day to protect the lives of astronauts.
We used data as reference using the links from the robotic arms, for example, the descriptions of said arm or more technical data like materials and sizes (LIKE CANADARM)
