Putting the 'Art' in Artemis

Your challenge is to create an artistic work to communicate, inform, or inspire others about humanity's road to Mars. Your art may be in any form, including (but not limited to): drawing, painting, sculpture, computer generated 2D or 3D, music, film, music video, written or spoken word, dance, and textile.

Artheists Putting The 'Art' In Artemis.

Summary

To inspire and inform others about humanity's road to Mars, we've come up with an artistic approach to build a platform which disseminates all the scattered information about Artemis which is easily accessible and comprehensible. Our approach comprises an app and a video, that primarily focuses on the main theme of the challenge, our app focuses on informing the general public about humanity's voyage to the Moon and beyond while video focuses on inspiring people by making them realize the importance of space science and space exploration. In a nutshell, this project is us trying to agglomerate information and help people be acquainted with the basic knowledge of Artemis in an artistic way.

How We Addressed This Challenge

The Video

We developed a fan-made inspiring video of Artemis. We strongly feel that space exploration in itself is an Art and it makes us proud. In this video, by showing that we all are rooting for them, we hope to play a childlike role to inspire everyone in NASA and other space agencies to keep inspiring us young people to aim for the stars, as they always have been.

The App

We have also developed an app to inform everything a general curious person needs to know about Artemis. We have integrated the spread datas of NASA in an organized way so that anyone can access it easily through our app. We have also created and uploaded a few artworks and anyone can add more in the app themselves and get featured. Through the same app, we will keep creating arts to inform about every new and next step in space science and exploration.

In general, we hope to inform and inspire.

How We Developed This Project

Our group believes in having an artistic mind. What better way of penning our artistic minds than to part take in a project dealing with art and science!

We do not have any special talents, we are just passionately curious. Some of us had video editing skills, drawing and painting skills but the thing we all had in common was the passion and inclination towards space science. Throughout the project, we taught ourselves block coding which eventually led us into developing an app. We did our research through the internet, collected data and reduced them to comprehensible form. We used Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Audacity and MIT App Inventor as softwares and tools. Being new to programming, building an app was definitely a challenge to us but we have put in our best form of efforts.

Defying all the odds, we have been able to come up with a video and an app that would facilitate the public by acquainting them about the process of space exploration, specifically the Artemis mission.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We used the images, videos and animations from the official websites and YouTube channels of space agencies like NASA to showcase their achievements and future plans. Through the data and information available, we would be able to inspire and inform people about the ongoing mission, that is humanity's road to Mars. Our project would not have been possible without access to those datas.
