Art for Artemis

October 4th 2020

Lights, camera, action!

Trailer

Our project consists in a trailer for a movie that tells the story about a group of friends, a terminal disease, and the desperate call to leave their mark on the world.

Movie description: Olympia was only sixteen when she found out she had an inoperable tumor in her brain, the news came with sadness and fear. She thought about her parents, always kind and willing, how could she leave them? She thought about her friends, always there for her, no matter how flawed she was. She thought about Thomas, her one true love, the most recent cause of her ever-present smile, how could she do that to him?

Since her four years of life, her biggest dream was to work on NASA, with space and the great, unknown, universe. In a desperate attempt to leave her mark in the world, she decides to do one last thing: produce a movie telling the story of how men will get to Mars. She had all the books, she had watched every single movie ever made, she knew she could do it. But in order for her to finish she would have to hide her disease from her friends and go against her parents' will. They had to try.

Objective: Lately, governments of other countries and some large companies lost their interest and abandoned this project. Our mission is to captivate, attract and inspire the public, especially young people. We want them to recover their interests in Mars and convince them how important it is to take this next step in history while showing a story of hope and overcoming. For brazilian youth, we want this film to enhance how important national production is.

Inspiration: Most of our team had already participated in past projects, but mostly with technology development. This year, with the newcomers we decided to take a different approach and chose the "Art for Artemis" category in hopes to have the most satisfactory result.
