Putting the 'Art' in Artemis

Your challenge is to create an artistic work to communicate, inform, or inspire others about humanity's road to Mars. Your art may be in any form, including (but not limited to): drawing, painting, sculpture, computer generated 2D or 3D, music, film, music video, written or spoken word, dance, and textile.

"Nacimiento"

Summary

Space adventure is something that was always on my mind. Far from being an astronaut and even further from seeing the red planet, I propose to change the point of view and see the planet Mars as something of my own and the blue planet as something mysterious and achievable.

How I Addressed This Challenge

I understand that this work does not develop anything new, I don't think it breaks any paradigm or anything like it. I think that like all artistic expression, it is important, the way it was developed pays tribute to human evolution and how it breaks all barriers in search of self-improvement but without forgetting its origins.

How I Developed This Project

the art itself is a challenge. The development of this work tries to capture human evolution and the tools used to achieve dreams and goals. I started using my fingers to outline and paint the planet Mars red, almost feeling its rocks, its texture. In this stage, the digital, the senses, what we can touch is reflected.

Then comes the dark outer space, which like all of us, we cannot touch, but through tools we can see. Then I use a brush to do a more detailed work, the use of a tool to achieve the objective is reflected. The same with stars, various pressures make them bigger and closer and smaller and farther.

As long as the blue planet, as something distant, is an interpretation from my point of view to that unattainable dream for now of seeing its majesty.

How I Used Space Agency Data in This Project

Art as an inspiration in this project arises as a conception of a new way of seeing and interpreting spatial development. The name given to the project is interesting, femininity is present and provides an equalizing power that humanity as a whole needs. At the same time, one looks beyond the moon and with images and videos, mostly of "curiosity" in my case, and they are material to study and interpret and merge with art.

Project Demo

I am not trying to give a solution to any problem, but to inspire others to observe and express their visions of the universe.
