Putting the 'Art' in Artemis

Your challenge is to create an artistic work to communicate, inform, or inspire others about humanity's road to Mars. Your art may be in any form, including (but not limited to): drawing, painting, sculpture, computer generated 2D or 3D, music, film, music video, written or spoken word, dance, and textile.

Summary

The project is based on the path of man and to Mars, where, in a poetic way, it illustrates the duality between abandoning or loving and knowing how to discover something internally new.

How I Addressed This Challenge

What was developed in the project was the feeling of the human being with a physical being with human feelings and that, therefore, has sensations and thoughts, so a 2D art was developed with the mention of human senses and that although we want in the first moment to reach another planet, we abandon our home. Thus, this image tries to reach the fragility of the individual's sentimentality, causing large and multiple interpretations, coupled with an explosion of colors like impressionist paintings.

How I Developed This Project

What inspired the construction of the project based was the music of singer and composer Elton John with the song from his album Diamonds called Rocket Man, thus the phrase of the first stanza is the name of the art for the solution of the challenge. This song became important because even though man has not yet risen to life on Mars, we realize that the dream of reaching such a planet exists and at every moment it becomes more tangible with reality, so the approach of showing that even individuals are so close that have carried out such a mission should make conceptions for a dream of humanity, addressing this theme in a utilitarian way.

For the realization of this project, a collage of elements that referred to the earth, Mars and man in space was first made, passing through the Corel Drawn tool. that shows the human feeling in one on such an important issue.

How I Used Space Agency Data in This Project

The data provided was used in the compositions of colors and textures presented in the art.

Project Demo

She packed my bag last night, preflight. I am about to go to the next stop, the beyond earth, even if it is another planet I will still be human because I am missing it, but I will still achieve something for humanity.
