Considering the gender inequality, which we see as a general problem affecting our world, we drew the first woman to set foot on Mars for the first time in history and initiate colonization. We were inspired by the pride of the whole world when Neil Armstrong first set foot on the Moon in 1969, and we included it in our drawing. In our picture, we see the first woman to set foot on Mars from the reflected helmet of a female astronaut, who was touched by the incident she saw.
The astronaut woman in our picture represents our respect and support for all female astronauts working at NASA. By reporting this, we invite the whole world to support female astronauts.
Inspired by the HE for SHE movement, we took this movement to the next level and took it into space. We think that the first person to set foot on Mars should be women who we think are not getting enough appreciation for their endless work, and we expect the whole world to support this idea by reaching out to the picture we have made.
We mostly used NASA’s website and ESA’s website to get information and to use the images in our slide shows. We looked NASA’s images which inspired us to empathize with the astronauts who have been working extremely hard to achieve the goals about humanity’s road to Mars.
