We have created an app that aims to reduce CO2 emissions in a community way.
In it, the user will be able to: learn about what the carbon footprint is, calculate their own footprint; find out why you need to worry about it now; see how the current situation of CO2 emissions is, according to NASA data; find ways to help the situation, mainly, through the consumption of local products
We chose this challenge because we understand how important it is to be environmentally conscious about our sustainable habits. To approach the challenge of informing people about it, we developed an app that stimulates community integration and reduces individual carbon footprint and using the NASA data we were able to show and informe you about the best choices to have a carbon free life!
The available NASA data was used so we could have an understanding of the Carbon emission situation and its consequences.
We also used the data in our app, in order to inform our users about:
Why the increase in carbon emissions is a bad thing
Why the emission of CO2 is increasing
What are the impacts of higher levels of CO2
What they can do to change the situation
