The amount of GHGs released into the atmosphere by any particular human activity is known as the carbon footprint, the global human footprint is well known from measurements at remote sites, but local-to-national carbon footprints are much more uncertain due to inadequate knowledge and lack of data "on the ground"
we tried to solve this problem as we decide to make a website that identify local sources of GHGs, like power plants, traffic, fires, deforestation events, and oil/gas extraction and processing activities all over the world as we divide them into continents and every continents is divided into countries with the quantity of emission of GHGs so by this way we collect the biggest resources of data in one website in addition to adding an awareness page in our website that include the applicable solutions to solve this problem , effects of the GHGs globally and locally and some awareness quotes for ways to protect yourself from these harmful games like carbon monoxide poisoning
Finally, we hope solving a great problem like this would help NASA, other organizations, and people by supporting the website with all the provided materials to detect local-to-national carbon footprints that doesn’t appears on the satellite
We choose this challenge especially as it will help people on facing the problems caused by increase of carbon dioxide gas as they are very dangerous and may cause death and make earth safe place to live on as possible as we can. Also as we searched more about this topic and we see that we have information and skills that will help us to solve the challenge with creative way and connect it with technology. While we are developing our project, we depend on searching about the newest information about this topic and collect more information as we can and we use technology in our project to make it suitable for our time and because technology makes things easier. Our project is depending on technology and software by using coding languages which are:
1-html
2-html 5
3-css
4-css3
While we are working on our project we face some problems as we did not find many resources that we can collect newest information, and we didn't have time as there was many information that we decided to collect and we did not have time. Also we faced problem as we wanted to use technology in our website but we do not have these skills so we increased our team with members have these skills and we faced another one as we wanted to make on the website some quotes and awareness messages appear on the beginning of the website and every 2 minutes it changes and another one comes and replaces it. For the achievements, we could overcome the problems that we faced by thinking of new solutions as we could put the awareness messages on the websites with another way. We also could finish our project successfully by using technology and make it creative as possible as we can. Finally, as we had much information that we decided to collect but we didn't have time so to solve the problem we should not cancel our decision but we thought about creative solution which we made a plan and distribute the tasks on us according to the skills of each one.
1.And we used satellite data to locate the mentioned factories on the site
2.We used the map provided by the space agency to locate images of continents and countries on the site from maps
3.Use the proposed sites from NASA to calculate a person's carbon ratios and to obtain information about the carbon footprint and know the damages of the carbon footprint on Earth.
