Our idea: Can we use carbon resources more efficiently by physically placing some things next to each other?

We are not yet sure what scale we are working on. On a large scale, it may be more efficient to put a farm (which benefits from heat) next to a factory which produces heat as a waste product. On the scale of a University, perhaps we should place large lecture halls next door to large dorms, so that people don't drive a mile every day to get from one to the other. On an even smaller scale, solar cells are slightly more efficient at low temperatures. Perhaps it is more efficient to place them on the part of a roof of a building away from the furnaces instead of next to the furnace.
