What Is Our Carbon Footprint?

Your challenge is to identify local sources of carbon emissions and/or estimate amounts of carbon emissions for different human activities to aid scientists in mapping carbon sources and sinks. How can you inform decisions to adapt to the consequences of a changing world and aid policy makers in making plans for the future?

Heroes Hub

Summary

We believe anyone can be a hero and our app will prove itWe’ll make a simulation system with a character who’s our example and guide and show the users their effect on the carbon percentage. With a tracking system of users’ activities and carbon footprint, the users will compete to be heroes The app has 3 parts-Learning about the carbon cycle and how carbon lies around us through videos, games, and paragraphs-Inspiring them to save the planet through daily tasks to reduce their carbon footprint, using the same methods in the first stage.-Users interact with each other to share their journey.

How We Addressed This Challenge

We are here, after studying the problem, we did not want the solution to be temporary, but rather to suit all emergency circumstances or surrounding us, as the solution is in its simplicity and in the inspiration of people to be better for a better world than before, so our actions and actions are what determine our future

All that we are inspired by is to create heroes as we see them and take them as a source of inspiration, as in the movies, but with our human strengths that sometimes we do not appreciate when each of us is not the hero of his special day, and let us make a competition with which the heroes compete to develop their human powers to save their own planet to save the big planet. He stands here only, but also how to reward these heroes for their deeds

The hero is not waiting for a reward, but it is a motivational system to bring out the hero inside you

How We Developed This Project

The constant change in the climate and the consequences of this phenomenon have become a threat to the entire planet and constitute the inevitable destruction of those who live on it, and once we search we will find that humans constitute a large part of this problem ... So will we remain silent about this destruction and leave our planet to perish?

And from here the idea began, since although humans constitute the largest part of this disaster, on the contrary it represents the major part in solving this problem . All that is lacking is awareness of what he does in his daily life and the beginning of a feeling of responsibility towards every living creature living on this earth.

From here we started working on designing an application that revives the passion of people again to save their planet and appreciate all the efforts they make towards it in addition, all the users are gathered towards one goal and one priority.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

Our application contains three sections, and they’re based on science as follows:

The first section is all about science, as it explains to the user everything about carbon and the carbon cycle. We mainly used NASA’s resources to present this information in our app, and we delivered them to the user through videos, games and paragraphs, so that it’s suitable for a wide age range.

In the second section, we used the information and resources found on NASA’s website to find ways through which we can reduce the carbon in the atmosphere. We used this to give the user daily tasks to perform so that they can reduce their carbon footprint, and we offered them a carbon footprint tracker as well to count everything they do and show their contribution in saving the planet.

The third section is the least part that’s based on scientific information, as it’s only about the user’s interaction with each other, sharing their stories and competing together on the honor board.
