Firstly, we had two ideas so we used them together . at the beginning we have made a website written in it all the information related to carbon then as we were searching we have found an important chemical reaction which will help us in reducing carbon dioxide which is CO2+2H2S=CH2O+H2O+2S
Which helps in eliminating carbon dioxide. Then lets talk about how the project was developed firstly, we wanted to map all the information about carbon so, we saw that the best way is a website with hyperlinks and they are like articles to be read and we designed it and finished it then in the second part of the idea is that we have known a chemical reaction that produce Methanal then we searched for it to know more about it and to use it perfectly to reduce carbon dioxide and we have known the benefits of it like:
1/disinfectant and biocide
2/tissue fixative and embalming agent
And this project is important in helping scientists in two things:
1/knowing all the information about carbon
2/making methanol to reduce carbon dioxide
And we hope people to have a great knowledge of the disadvantages of carbon dioxide and the carbon dioxide reduce in the world.
Describe how you developed your project
First, we determine what we should make search about then collecting enough information about it after that we planed how the website be organize
and we start coding the web site and add the information
What inspired your team to choose this challenge?
We chosen this challenge because we have a message :it is our right and the right of all people to live in a clean environment free of pollution and in order to achieve that message we must do something to increase people's awareness of pollution, carbon emissions in particular. the causes, consequences, and harms, and we must do something for scientists to help them collect information about these harmful emissions
What was your approach to developing this project?
we Designed a website in simply face and in organize way
To make easy to visitor browse in our site and be collect information easily
What tools, coding languages, hardware, software did you use to develop your project ?
we use programming laungues HTML and CSS
we use program (Notepad ++) to write codes
we use Microsoft edge as a browser to show results
What problems and achievements did your team have?
Problems: we tried a lot to collect information about topics because there is not one resource have all information about all topics
Achievements: our website have all information about most of topics which speak about CO2 Emissions and all topics which related with CO2 Emissions
In fact, we have used some data on the global climate change website, which is monitored by NASA. These data talk about the huge increase of the ppm (parts per million) or percentage of the carbon dioxide gas in the atmosphere since 2005. Also, the website talks about how this gas is dangerous to the earth as it is a greenhouse gas, which means the ability of some gases to trap the heat (infrared radiations) coming out of earth by absorbing it and reradiate it to the earth’s surface. That causes the increase in temperature and that leads to the global warming, which is one of the huge problems that affect the earth nowadays.
Therefore, my team and I will try to stop the increase of the percentage of carbon dioxide and use it for better causes by involving it into a chemical reaction that will get rid of this gas to get a more usable material that cannot be afforded anywhere.
So we made a website that anyone can visit it and read information about carbon dioxide (how it created , how it transfer , how it effect on people who suffers from covid-19 ,how we can convert it to another thing , some recommendation that can make change in this field to make carbon dioxide percentage less , carbon cycle ,and how it effect in our environment )
