What Is Our Carbon Footprint?

Your challenge is to identify local sources of carbon emissions and/or estimate amounts of carbon emissions for different human activities to aid scientists in mapping carbon sources and sinks. How can you inform decisions to adapt to the consequences of a changing world and aid policy makers in making plans for the future?

Green Gold Ice (GGI)

Summary

GGI is a special engineering design that is provided to the factories before and after operation to allow the waste gaseous waste to be recycled and recovered in a usable form, thus stopping the emission of greenhouse gases. The name GGI is inspired by the dry ice produced by carbon dioxide "golden and green of nature" Idea features: 1. Using clean and environmentally friendly development mechanisms. 2. Reducing the accumulation of gaseous waste, to preserve the climate and thus life. 3. The output of the idea is a financial investment project. 4. The possibility of applying the system to existing factories. Difference between GGI

How I Addressed This Challenge

Background Research

After referring to the studies issued by the science of climate studies and

environmental protection organizations on the emission of factory gases, its

causes and dangers, and the international standards that were organized to

solve this big problem, the previous solutions were found and we provide

them below:

The risk of global warming: The greenhouse gases have received wide

attention from institutions concerned with global warming , and through

this research we will modify the engineering shape by adding a dome to the

chimney suppression in the polluting factories that provide The appropriate

environment for spewing gases for the nuts with the addition of a smart

mechanism equipped for this dome, this mechanism works to stop the

generation of waste of new gases and reduce their accumulation, and by

modifying the geometrical shape of the upper part of the chimneys of

factories that cause pollution by providing a dome on the surrounding ocean

It is suitable for the chimney to make the functional part of leaking gases to

the atmosphere in the factory with the addition of a smart mechanism

equipped for this dome, it works to return the gas waste before it is emitted

to the atmosphere and by using a smart cooler that depends on solar energy,

kinetic energy and the temperature of the gases emitted to generate energy

for the GGI idea and run it to do this The task, as it will be installed on the

funnel chimneys in the existing factories and add it to the engineering design

of the factories that will be established in the future.

Results

By working on the idea and after following all the procedures that were

taken to solve the problem of carbon dioxide emission, we explain the

following:

1. When applying GGI, we will work to reduce the amount of carbon

dioxide in the atmosphere

2. Investing GGI products will encourage the target of the idea to benefit

from it

3. Reducing burning by using GGI products

4. Hurricane Reduction with the use of GGI products

5. Address an international problem regarding lunar dust through the use

of GGI products

6. Reducing the expansion of the ozone hole from GGI use

reducing its pollution rate

7. The international cost of environmental protection will be reduced

8. GGI Idea will be the best and cheapest solution for all current offerings

Hypothesis

If we assume that we can recycle the gases emitted from factories,

especially carbon dioxide, and turn them into beneficial commodities

with a large financial return, we know the harms of these gases and the

danger of exposing them to each individual, which will reflect positively

on the Earth’s environment in general and on the human being in

particular and assume The possibility of GGI exploiting this idea by

converting the carbon dioxide emitted from the factories, which may

cause the damage of the planet to dry ice. When applying the hypothesis,

we can live inside our green planet without gas pollution and global

warming

Implementations: applications

The idea can be applied in the future in all factories that produce harmful

gases, whether factories or land, sea and air transport that cause climate

pollution.

The idea will also be presented in the future to the major industrial

producing countries and to major institutions for use as a technology

within the factories under construction to reduce gas waste

It will also be presented in the future to the List of conservation

organizations based on environmental protection.

How I Developed This Project

Future Research

There will be developments on this project in the future, including the

following:

1. Work began on a smart dome made of a lightweight material, which is

microlates, where it works to collect gases emitted from factory nozzles

and separate these gases to take advantage of each type of them.

2. The use of this smart dome, where gases are transported by turbines

located directly above the factory nozzles, and transferred through the

tubes for cooling.

3. Use the idea of a smart coolant to collect the current gaseous wastes

in the atmosphere and cool them in the same way.

4. Separate the remaining gases by lowering the temperature so that we

can exploit these gases in our lives.

5. Another aspect that must be studied is the development of

international standards on how to describe the causes of gaseous waste

and track its concentration to prevent its accumulation in the atmosphere

and to develop global standards for all parties that cause it to reduce

space waste

How I Used Space Agency Data in This Project

DATA

(1) The increase in the average surface temperature in the world with an

increase in the amount of carbon dioxide, methane, and some other

gases in the atmosphere, as the surface temperature of the globe

increased by 0.74 ± 0.18 ° C (1.33 ± 0.32 Fahrenheit) during the past

century. (1

/assessment-report/ar4/wg1/ar4-wg1-spm.pdf)

(2) The average Earth's temperature increased by 0.75 ° C for the period

between 1860 and 1900, according to the mechanically measured

temperature record, which shows variations in temperature with respect

to air and ocean measured by thermal sensors. It is unlikely that the rise

in the temperature of city centers from their surroundings significantly

affected this value, as it is estimated that this phenomenon has caused a

rise in temperature of 0.02 ° C since 1900 (2)

(3) According to estimates from the Goddard Institute for Space Studies

of NASA, the year 2005 was the warmest year in which the Earth’s

temperature was recorded, since the late nineteenth century when

certified and widespread methods of measurement appeared, bypassing

in 1998 a few parts of Percent of class (3)

(4) The first global agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is the

Kyoto Protocol, a development of the United Nations Framework

Convention on Climate Change, which was negotiated in 1997. This

protocol now includes over 160 countries and 55% of global greenhouse

gas emissions. However, the United States and Kazakhstan did not sign
