Mission to Planet Earth: A Digital History

NASA’s activities in space have brought new knowledge of the Earth, inspiring new ways of thinking about humanity and the planet. However, many people aren’t aware that NASA studies the Earth in addition to other planets. Your challenge is to tell stories of NASA’s Earth science enterprise using interactive digital tools. This will test your technical skills and your ability to think like a historian or educator.

Mission to Planet Earth: A Digital History

Summary

We ASteroids are visualizing Earth through NASA's lenses, we aim to study the completed projects of NASA focusing on Earth and it's attributes. We are focusing on the major issue “Ozone layer depletion” Nasa launched it’s 6 satellites starting from the year 1991 to the recent 2004 for studying the ozone hole in the atmosphere. Our motive is to mapping out the collected data for different satellites and comparing their factors and quantities. Below mention are its satellites, broadly focusing on atmosphere ,and noting the changes of Ozone layer.1.Aura2.Van Allen Probes/Radiation Belt Storm Probes3.TDRS4.TOMS-EP5.Upper Atmosphere Radiation Satellite (UARS)6.Nimbus-4

How We Addressed This Challenge

It helped us to understand how different satellites were sent by NASA to study the atmosphere especially ozone layer. And what were the drawbacks each satellite had.

How We Developed This Project

We used Tableau as our tool and deployed our data there . Problem faced was collecting data of different satellite .

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We searched about satellites and gathered names from Nasa.gov as data was not available there , for data we used different open sources like Kaggle, data.world, wiki
