CMD (Camino de la Miranda Developer) has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!
We have chosen wildfires as our main theme because of its global impact on planet Earth, and also becase it is not well know that NASA also looks into the study of wild fires through the techology of imaging satellites. We always assume that NASA is more focus towards space and the great beyond rather than look toward our big blue planet.
Our biggest challenge has been creating a website that shows the colossal damage that wildfires imprint on the the earth, even though most of them could be avoided by using the great advances of technology, we also want to show the impact of the damage and the repercusions that fires leave behind by comparing the before and after pictures taken from NASA's satellites.
We created the website from scratch using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. We used Visual Studio Code for the web development and GIMP and Inkscape to create and touch up images.
Even though it was a complicated task to tackle in two days, we have worked as nice cohesive team. The communication has been excelent with the use of online applications such as Discord to arrange how we could solve the challenge.
We have used satellite imagery from the Landsat Image Gallery to show the before and after of the destruction of wildfires.
