Mission to Planet Earth: A Digital History

NASA’s activities in space have brought new knowledge of the Earth, inspiring new ways of thinking about humanity and the planet. However, many people aren’t aware that NASA studies the Earth in addition to other planets. Your challenge is to tell stories of NASA’s Earth science enterprise using interactive digital tools. This will test your technical skills and your ability to think like a historian or educator.

Down2 Earth (Create. Enlighten. Explore.)

Summary

We (Down2Earth) as a team are very much motivated to enlighten people about the machineries which revolve around our planet and send us accurate infomations and the brains behind that machines. The homepage is pretty much simple only giving a starter of space and what the whole site contains by a video. Then it contains 4 pages which firstly briefs about NISAR, then a very new technology of Solar CO2 Conversion and lastly few brilliant minds and the Machineries which help the Human Race on a daily basis.

How We Addressed This Challenge

We (Down2Earth) have developed an interactive multi tabular website which have different aspects of knowledge about space and the organisation which uses various types of machineries. Now, everyone should know what type of technologies are used by these organisations for these machineries which provide the us with such high accuracy graded informations all around the globe. This is a front-end only project which specify with limited knowledge of few of these organisation and machineries. We as a team hope that people should also know the procedure and working of such hi-tech machineries and appreciate the inventions along with using those to get knowledge of something which is on the other side of the globe.

How We Developed This Project

The motivation behind this project was to enlighten people about what stands far beyond their sight into space and still providing them with high and accurate information about almost everything into their mobiles or laptops, etc.

This is a front-end only Project which was successfully created using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.

The most important achievement while making this project was we successfully included theGoogle Earth API into our website.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

Open Data provided by Official Nasa Site was used to develope the content of different pages.
