Mission to Planet Earth: A Digital History

NASA’s activities in space have brought new knowledge of the Earth, inspiring new ways of thinking about humanity and the planet. However, many people aren’t aware that NASA studies the Earth in addition to other planets. Your challenge is to tell stories of NASA’s Earth science enterprise using interactive digital tools. This will test your technical skills and your ability to think like a historian or educator.

Funny SPACE!

Summary

“Just because you like to play, that doesn’t mean you’re wasting your time!”By using NASA’s journeys, we’re creating a virtual world, in which the players can rerecord the space history by passing the same situations as the missions assigned to them indicate. Thus, players aren’t meant to just know the space and its history, but to actually live all of that on their owns.

How I Addressed This Challenge

“Just because you like to play, that doesn’t mean you’re wasting your time!”

We believe that everybody is smart enough, people just have different interests. Based on the modernity, this is the age of space exploration. We want more people to be interested in this field through funny and sweet new experiences.

Our main aim is to help people to know more and be better prepared for this field by gaining experience they would never be able to have without trying. Their ages don’t matter. Whether they will persuade this new interest or not, that also doesn’t matter.

“Funny SPACE!”

“You’re SPECIAL”.

“Every one knows that PRACTICE makes better”.

“You have the ABILITY”.

“Don’t waste a great chance, just because you fear the CHANGE!”

“We live to EXPERIENCE!”

How I Developed This Project

Our idea is to make a game that people can both learn and benefit from. You don’t have to be a scientist, but upon the time, you’ll gain a lot of knowledge about the space. You won’t just learn its history, but also you’ll be able to make decisions and try new things on the virtual world we are creating for you.

How I Used Space Agency Data in This Project

Using NASA’s real journeys and discoveries is allowing us to create a virtual world in which the players can rerecord the space history by themselves by passing the same situations that our brave astronauts and scientists have been in as the missions assigned to them indicate. Thus, players aren’t meant to only know the space and its history, but to actually live all of that on their owns.
